Shahrzad Dance Academy   is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1996 by Shahrzad "Shazzy" Khorsandi.   The academy provides formal training in Persian dance to students ages 3 & up, providing them with Persian dance technique, as well as performance training.   The students perform in various local festivals, in addition to annual company recitals.

SDA also offers a full Teacher Training Program for advanced dancers interested in teaching Persian dance.

To compliment the dance curriculum, SDA has produced several videos/DVDs , both instructional and performance.   These videos have won several awards, been given 3 stars by Video Librarian magazine, and are being sold to many libraries in the U.S. and Canada.

Shahrzad Dance Company is an adult ensemble of trained dancers, specializing in Persian dance.   SDC performs at various local and national events, such as festivals, weddings, corporate events, schools & libraries, in addition to company concerts.

PULSE is an adult ensemble of Modern dancers, exploring fusion (often with Persian dance) and cutting-edge, multi-media choreography and dance-theater.
